Special Young Arab Voices Call for the Mediterranean Forum 2016 in Malta

This call to Youth Sector representatives from the Southern Mediterranean region, run in association with "Young Arab Voices", is coordinated by the Anna Lindh Foundation and funded by the Government of Finland. Delegates selected through this call will have their travel to Malta covered, along with accommodation and meals. The activity is scheduled from 23rd to 25th October 2016.

Review the criteria and Apply by 14th August 2016 (17H Egypt) to have the opportunity to:

(1) Take part in a pioneering regional media workshop organised for the first time in collaboration with Facebook and YouthCan, and focused on creating communication campaigns.

(2) Receive accreditation as an international delegate of the Mediterranean Forum 2016, with full access to the Forum strategic debates, project-building sessions and networking activities.

(3) Act as a digital media rapporteur, and maximize newly acquired skills to amplify the impact and reach of the Forum across the 42 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Residence and nationality: residency or national in one of the following countries Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia.
  • Age: age of the candidate between 18 to 35
  • Experience: Graduates of the “Young Arab Voices” (YAV) debate training programme or previously selected for a YAV regional activity; Beneficiaries of other existing ALF regional programmes notably the “Journalist Award”, “Exchange”, “Moltaqa/Dawrak”.
  • Language:  Capacity of the candidate to communicate and understand English and/or French.
