The young Arab Voices (YAV) Journey has engaged more than 90,000 young women and men from across six countries in the Middle East and North Africa region. Since 2011, they have been learning to debate, listen, express their voices, and contribute to a more pluralistic and open society. The journey continues today in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, and beyond.
The Young Arab Voices Programme has been working with many exceptional young women and men in six countries in the MENA region since 2011. Each of them has been an ambassador to promote a culture of debate and dialogue in their communities. In this regard, we decided to feature those young men and women in our newly website section; Debater of the Month, shedding the light on those future leaders.
This year, the UK YAV Week 2014 returns to London from 17 to 19 October 2014 under the theme “Arab Youth & Alternatives To Social Change”. The UK Young Arab Voices Week is a unique opportunity bringing together every year youth debaters from the Arab region (Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco) and the United Kingdom for an exciting and rich programme of activities of debate and dialogue.
